Two Men Face Charges In Connection With Heathrow ‘Pepper Spray’ Incident
Two individuals are now facing charges in connection with a luggage theft where a believed to be irritant spray caused injuries at the major London air hub.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two counts of robbery and two counts of deploying a toxic agent, as confirmed by court officials.
This legal action stems from an probe of an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the assault occurred, two female travelers had their luggage stolen after getting out of a parking garage elevator, authorities reported.
A young child was caught up in the incident in the event. Several persons went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.
This event – described by police as was not part of a series and not considered a terror-related act – led to train delays and the temporary blocking of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area for a short time.
