Young golfer preparing for significant tournament

This young athlete boasts impressive online audience

The young golfer will have numerous well-known backers when she makes her professional golf debut later this week.

The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be connected to a former US president, was granted a special exemption to participate at the Annika tournament in Florida.

Her grandfather, a passionate golfer, possesses multiple international courses and regularly plays against his granddaughter.

"He's fairly competent. I can't reveal details but we play some close matches," she stated.

The golfer shared that her grandfather, unable to come, counseled her: "Simply stay calm."

"My grandpa practically suggested to play and have fun," she continued.

"In my eyes, he's just an ordinary family member. He can't make it for the tournament. He's focused on running the country, making him rather occupied."

As an amateur, Kai has played in a mere three competitions in 2024 and holds ranking 461 in AJGA listings.

Yet she's able to receive tips from 15-time major champion, romantically involved with her mother.

"He is the greatest golfer worldwide," the young golfer said.

"Additionally, he's an even better individual. He suggested me to play, have fun, following whatever happens."

She'll challenge several top competitors in professional golf at the competition, such as second-ranked the champion, England's golfer Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.

The LPGA commented that her participation brings golf to different demographics, specifically among youth audiences.

The young star boasts substantial online presence and recently launched a personal clothing and lifestyle label.

She begins at 5:30 PM GMT.
