Hulu is Developing a Far Cry TV Series from the Minds of Alien: Earth and the Comedy Hit.

The newest action-packed instalment that gamers explored was Far Cry 6, which showcased Giancarlo Esposito in the role of the villain, Antón, and debuted on October 6, 2021. In the game universe, it is famous for delighting in chaos and mayhem with the same glee, all while presenting captivating, ideologically themed tales. Little surprise that the network’s recent announcement for a Far Cry anthology series pulled in two producers whose creations have represented all of those elements.

About the Series

Inspired by Ubisoft's hit video game series, the short-run anthology series will stream on Hulu and is being made by FX Productions. The show will also parallel the video games' style by having a fresh backdrop and cast of characters in every instalment.

Executive Team

Rob Mac, producer of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and Noah Hawley, the talent behind FX's Alien: Earth and Fargo, will act as executive producers on the series under their labels, More Better Productions for Mac, and 26 Keys for Hawley. They will be partnered by Emilia Serrano for 26 Keys, Nick Frenkel for 3 Arts, Jackie Cohn for More Better Productions, John Campisi, Gerard Guillemot, Margaret Boykin, and Austin Dill for Ubisoft Film & Television.

The network enjoyed magnificent partnerships with Rob Mac and Noah Hawley for a total six series and 32 seasons of television, and we couldn’t be more excited that they are working together for Far Cry,” stated Nick Grad, President, FX Entertainment, in a statement. “I have no doubt that they will deliver this story in a way that is fresh, compelling, and wildly entertaining. We also want to appreciate our collaborators at Ubisoft for entrusting us with this beloved property.”

Cast and Future Plans

Mac will also appear in the show, but at the time of writing, we are unsure of what part that might entail. Hawley's Alien: Earth was not long ago renewed for a second instalment, with FX and Disney signing a new long-term contract with the producer.

“Being able to collaborate with Noah Hawley is a dream realized,” said Rob Mac. “Ubisoft has been exceptionally generous, placing faith in us with one of the most iconic video-game worlds ever created. And throughout this process, my FX family always encourages me with their steady trust and support.”

“What I love about the Far Cry game franchise is that it’s an standalone series. Every title is a interpretation of a theme, the same way each season of Fargo is a adaptation on a story,” noted Hawley. “To produce a epic action show that can evolve from year to year, while always examining the core of humanity through this intricate and chaotic perspective, is a ultimate goal. I’m excited to collaborate with Rob and present our mutual bold, visionary sensibility to the television.”

A release window for when we can anticipate the new Far Cry show has not been announced. The series will premiere on Hulu in the United States and on Disney Plus globally.
