Grief as Beloved South African DJ Killed in Johannesburg.
A popular South African radio and club DJ has been fatally gunned down in the country's largest city Johannesburg, triggering widespread grief across a country grappling with entrenched crime.
Warrick Stock, who went by the name DJ Warras, was attacked in the city centre on a Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities reported the 40-year-old media personality was accosted by a trio of assailants, one of whom opened fire on him before escaping on foot.
The purpose behind the attack remains unclear and no arrests have taken place, according to authorities.

Law enforcement revealed that Stock was attacked as he was departing from a premises in the vicinity of the Carlton Centre.
He had been present for hours at the site supervising the setup of safety equipment, which had been reportedly taken over by squatters, according to reports.
"It is alleged the deceased was approached by three unknown suspects after he parked his car, and they opened fire at him before escaping on foot," authorities stated.
Security camera video reportedly depicted a man with dreadlocks and wearing what resembled a security uniform shooting on Stock before fleeing.
The DJ sought to escape after he was wounded but collapsed on the opposite side of the road.
Police added that Stock had an gun that was not fired and it was not a robbery during the attack.
