The House Oversight Committee has made public a collection of approximately 70 photos secured from the holdings of deceased found guilty sexual predator Jeffrey Epstein.

This constitutes the third publication from a larger collection of in excess of 95,000 photographs the committee has acquired from Epstein's estate. It includes images of passages from the literary work Lolita written across a woman's body, and censored photos of women's international passports.

This release comes just hours before the December 19th due date for the DOJ to make public each records related to its probe into Epstein.

"These images raise additional queries about precisely what the Department of Justice has in its possession," said the senior Democrat of the panel, Robert Garcia.

What is in the Photographs Made Public

Some of the photographs published on this week show Epstein conversing with academic and activist Noam Chomsky aboard a personal aircraft; Bill Gates seen beside a woman whose identity is redacted; Steve Bannon sitting at a desk facing Epstein, and former Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a evening meal.

These are the newest high-net-worth, powerful figures to be pictured in Epstein's estate photographs disclosed by the oversight panel - formerly released pictures also depict US President Donald Trump and past president Bill Clinton, as well as movie director Woody Allen, previous US treasury secretary Larry Summers, attorney Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and additional individuals.

Being pictured in the photos is does not constitute evidence of any wrongdoing, and many of the featured men have stated they were in no way implicated in Epstein's unlawful actions.

In a statement accompanying the photograph disclosure, Democrats on the US House Oversight Committee noted the Epstein estate's representatives did not offer background information or timeframes for the pictures.

"Images were selected to provide the general populace with transparency into a typical cross-section of the images obtained from the property, and to provide insights into Epstein's network and his profoundly alarming activities," the release states.

The release also contains multiple images of passages from the Vladimir Nabokov novel Lolita penned in dark ink across different parts of a female's body, like her chest, foot, pelvis, and back. Lolita narrates the story of a adolescent who was manipulated by a middle-aged literature professor.

An example of a excerpt from the novel scrawled across a woman's chest reads, "Lo-lee-ta: the tip of the tongue traveling of three steps down the mouth to land, at three, on the teeth".

There are also a collection of images of women's passports and official papers from countries worldwide, like Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

Most of the data on the IDs, such as names and birth dates, is obscured but the committee stated in a statement that the travel documents belong to "individuals whom Jeffrey Epstein and his conspirators were interacting with".

Another photo features Epstein sitting at a workstation intimately flanked by three women whose features have been redacted - a first has her palm on Epstein's upper body under his garment, and another is leaning to view a adjacent laptop. Epstein appears to be assisting the third individual attach a bracelet.

Another image disclosed is a image of text messages from an unnamed person who says they have been sent "some girls" and are demanding "$1000 for each individual".

Photograph Release Occurs Before DOJ Cut-off

The body has a vast number of photos in its custody from the Epstein estate, which are "both disturbing and mundane," its statement on this week clarified.

The oversight panel first legally compelled the estate of Epstein, who passed away in a New York correctional facility in 2019 while pending legal proceedings on allegations of sex trafficking, in August.

The photos and files the Epstein estate provided to the body are separate from what is often called "the Epstein files". That material are records in the Department of Justice's control connected to its independent probe into Epstein.

Under the Transparency Act, which Donald Trump signed into law recently, the DOJ has until the date of 19 December to publish its documents. The full nature of the contents found in the DOJ's documents is unclear, and it's expected that much of the content will be extensively obscured, akin to Congressional documents
