Comedian and author David Walliams lost his contract with publishing house.
Prolific young adult author and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, according to an announcement.
A representative for the company said: "Following a thorough review, and under the leadership of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the move was made after an review of reports of conduct deemed unsuitable directed at women.
The firm did not confirm the motivations for this action, adding: "We do not comment on confidential company decisions."
A Highly Successful Writing Journey
Walliams is one of the UK's most successful children's authors, with sales exceeding in excess of 60 million copies internationally in dozens of tongues.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
A number of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.
To date, he has released in excess of 40 works combined, including a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins this past October.
Television and Literature
His career breakthrough occurred on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to charity and the arts.
This development follows the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive this past October.
